I couldn't build the zesty debdiff on the arm64 porter box due to not
being able to install the dependencies to build it. I did get the
yakkety one to build and then extracted the package contents and used
gdb from there. I was then able to create core files with this new gdb.

PHP. I've got 44k of such messages in my auth.log file that covers just
the last 3.5 days, and 16k of those were actually "repeated x times"

To give more information on this issue. We are heavily using cups lpd daemon
(via inetd) because the machine is used to convert from some old systems, old
fashioned printer that do not exists no more, and cups is able to convert this
in whatever we want (pcl, pdf, postscript) via its powerfull
@osomon looks good. I will apply upstream.

1) cups.path doesn't seem to be started until after reboot.
2) I can't reliably reproduce my example case. After the second stop,

I think this might be caused by an interesting interaction between
systemd, debhelper and the CUPS scheduler.
I can reproduce a very similar error with the following. I think (though
am not sure) that this is related to the root cause. On a fresh Xenial
system:
sudo apt-get update && sudo
My workaround was to rename ~/.vimrc effectively removing it. Now I can
use vi with no error messages.

I've backported the fix (actually adapted the backport that existed).
But given that this is a very rare case and we are targeting an SRU eventually
