Yes, it is long time since I filed this report.
I am now using Ubuntu 21.10 (daily version).
I tried to play the file in Totem, but it does not understand the format
(or Gstreamer is missing a plugin for it).

5.8. The tests all pass when run in a test environment with kernel 5.11
