dismiss the permission request in the browser, microphone access is
blocked and I can't hear audio via another machine.

I already explained why the viewport size has to be changed when the
location bar moves - content that's fixed to the viewport (CSS position:
fixed or scrollbars) will be positioned incorrectly and could be outside
of the webview if it's not. Not resizing the viewport is not going to
happen.

Vacation stopped working for me on Aquaris M0 (15.04 OA-10) after an
update until I turned off location services, turned off WIFI and GPS in

With the GMail desktop UI, resizing the window causes it to remove focus
from the input elements in the compose UI - you can reproduce this with
the GMail webapp on a desktop.
I suspect this is relevant, given that the webapp is resized on the
tablet when the OSK is displayed

GMail webapp keyboard hide and seek
Monitoring webProcessStatus and then doing a reload if the process is
killed by the system is probably ok for most webapps, but this isn't
great for a navigation app. What happens to the state of the current
navigation if the render process is killed and the webview has to be
reloaded?

The main reason Oxide is slow is because the browser's UI thread is
being blocked for long periods of time due to an issue *outside* of
Oxide.
As a quick test, I just ran the address book app with
QSG_RENDER_TIMING=1, and it demonstrates exactly the same issue as the
browser - the render thread
Just to make sure it wasn't a one off with the address book app, I did
it again. Here's a few more data points from the log:
qt.scenegraph.time.renderer: time in renderer: total=1ms, preprocess=0,
updates=0, binding=0, rendering=1
qt.scenegraph.time.renderloop: Frame rendered with 'threaded'
