only affects text fields on web pages. The address bar of the browser is
implemented differently, using the standard UI toolkit component for
text input (and this is consistent with text fields in other apps, like

regardless of whether the context menu is open, and that’s what I’m
seeing on my krillin running rc-proposed. Can you explain under what
circumstances you’re not seeing this?

oxide 1.16.8 has indeed landed in the rc-proposed channel, so this fix

In an attempt to nail down what may be the culprit I’ve commented out
chunks of the browser code related to locationBarController and load
events, but that hasn’t made the situation better. When scrolling on
that page, I’m seeing the CPU usage of webbrowser-app skyrocket, so
there’s something wrong
Let’s see what designers say. I’m personally not bothered by the content
picker being embedded below the embedder’s page title, but I understand
that this could be considered a visual bug.

I’m seeing a stream of LoadCommitted events while scrolling on that
page¹. In a simple oxide WebView though (without an address bar or any
chrome), scrolling is almost smooth, so it seems this problem is browser
specific. I’ve also tested with an Ubuntu.Web WebView and a dummy

Re-opening as our browser by default continues where the user left off
(it restores all open tabs). So we should probably set the cookie mode
to restored in the default case, and set it to ephemeral when the user
launches the browser with the --new-session command-line flag.

This has been reliably reproduced on desktop and a phone running
webbrowser-app 0.23+16.04.20160711-0ubuntu1 (and oxide
1.15.8-0ubuntu0.16.04.1).
Steps to reproduce:
1) wipe your session data (make a backup first if you care) by removing
~/.local/share/webbrowser-app/
2) lau
I just filed bug #1605103 from my E4.5 running the latest rc-proposed,
without an issue. While filing the bug report I added a picture which I
took on the fly with the camera app, and was then taken back to the bug
filing page where I was able to enter a description and submit the
report.
