[Touch-packages] [Bug 1945894] Re: Translated strings not imported from damned lies

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1945894] Re: Translated strings not imported from damned lies
Ubuntu presumably ships a particular version of GNOME. I understand that this version is no longer based on the major (September) release, but rather a previous minor release, in this case from July. Is that always the case now and is that documented somewhere? As can be seen here, the aforementioned 50 translated strings are missing: https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu/impish/+source/gtk+3.0/+pots/gtk-3.0/da/+translate?show=untranslated -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to gtk+3.0 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1945894 Title: Translated strings not imported from damned lies Status in Ubuntu Translations: Incomplete Status in gtk+3.0 package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: The newly translated strings in GTK does not seem to be imported from Damned Lies. [Touch-packages] [Bug 1795697] Re: Danish translation probably not synchronizing
Looks like the gnome-software bug mentioned above was a false alarm. But the Gtk module has indeed not imported those translations that were present upstream at the time of the GNOME release deadline. It is essential that these imports are triggered correctly, else we will either get duplicate work on the part of translators or ship a distribution which is not fully translated. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to gtk+3.0 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1795697 Title: Danish translation probably not synchronizing Status in gtk+3.0 package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: The Danish translation here is not complete: https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu/cosmic/+source/gtk+3.0/+pots/gtk-3.0/da/+details However we always fully translate GNOME upstream for each release, so it should be complete.
