@Hui

Again so sorry for the delay
I've removed all instances of the dmic_detect=0 and attached the dmesg for
both the 5.3.0-46 and 5.3.0-53 versions.
Thank you so much

2020-05-13 Thread Eric Paul
Hey Hui,

Sorry for the delays but I was in the middle of the exam period and hence
very busy.
I'm on holidays now and have much more time to address these emails, were
you able to find a solution to the issue?

Thanks,
Eric

2020-04-09 Thread Eric Paul
Hey,
Sorry I attempted to paste that into the command line and its saying this:
I did, however, manage to remove "snd_hda_intel.dmic_detect=0", from the
grub.conf (again removing this didn't help)
I've attached the updated dmesg for this.

Re: [Touch-packages] [Bug 1870550] Re: PCI/internal sound card not detected

2020-04-07 Thread Eric Paul
Hey Hui,

The kernel didn't work after that testing.
Could you indicate as to where the dmic_detect=0 line is?
Sorry I tried many "fixes" so not sure where I put that line.

Hey,

Sorry for the late reply I was trying to figure out how to boot from the
kernel.
I think I've done it now. Attached is the dmesg output.

Thanks

Re: [Touch-packages] [Bug 1870550] Re: PCI/internal sound card not detected

2020-04-04 Thread Eric Paul
Hey Hui,

Thank you for looking into this!
It's unfortunate but installing that kernel didn't fix the problem, I've
attached the dmesg output to this email.

I will also mention this may be part of a bigger bug, as I cannot change my
brightness either (assuming display driver issue here too, also tried many
fixes online didn't change anything)
ALSO, my mic doesn't work as well (assuming same as the sound card driver
issues)
and, sometimes when I start my computer the wifi adaptor is not detected
(to fix this I just have to restart again and it works)

Thank you so much for looking into this, as it definitely hinders my
ability to do my work.

Regards,
Eric
