Title:
Checking for updates never finishes
Status in Canonical System
I can confirm that this also occurs on my Mx4, rc-proposed r303. This
is a regression, as it was fixed.
Issue of update check not finishing happens only on wifi for me.
Completes fine on GPRS.

I can reproduce a variant of this by holding my finger over the bottom
LED button and simultaneously pressing the hardware power button.
Screen will wake up by itself with each press of power button, until
bottom LED is activated again.

The above comment by jibel seems to include the sort of hang I refer to
here, in his case after 3 shots.

Testing the fix released for Bug #1519766 (and likely #1478693) I can
reliably freeze the camera-app (v. 3.0.0.616) on rc-proposed Arale r227
by taking HDR images.
Freeze happens around the 3rd or 4th shot of the same subject as
reported in Bug #1519766.

I too noticed this but a while back. Am on rc-proposed and since

In the above report, the suggested context of failure is HDR creation.
Is that the case here?
