[Touch-packages] [Bug 1436724] Re: No prompt to unlock sim after airplane mode
I think the UX is not ideal if I have to input my SIM PIN every single time I switch off the flight mode. The what i understood it that it only is required if the device was rebooted. What is the need for a SIM PIN input after flight mode was disabled? ** Changed in: ubuntu-ux Status: New = Incomplete ** Changed in: ubuntu-ux Importance: Undecided = Medium ** Changed in: ubuntu-ux Assignee: (unassigned) = Olga Kemmet (olga-kemmet) ** Summary changed: - No prompt to unlock sim after airplane mode + [indicators] [SIM PIN] No prompt to unlock sim after airplane mode -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to unity8 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1436724 Title: [indicators] [SIM PIN] No prompt to unlock sim after airplane mode Status in the base for Ubuntu mobile products: New Status in Ubuntu UX bugs: Incomplete Status in indicator-network package in Ubuntu: New Status in unity8 package in Ubuntu: Invalid Bug description: BQ phone: Steps to reproduce: 1. Re: [Touch-packages] [Bug 1436724] Re: No prompt to unlock sim after airplane mode
@Olga Kemmet: as Michael Zandi said: The bq hardware seems to be a bit special in that it turns off the modem completely in flight mode and loses the unlocked state. Ubuntu touch itself doesn't require to re-enter the sim pin after flight mode. On the nexus 4 for instance, the SIM card stays unlocked. 2015-03-31 13:20 GMT+02:00 Olga Kemmet 1436...@bugs.launchpad.net: I think the UX is not ideal if I have to input my SIM PIN every single time I switch off the flight mode. Re: [Touch-packages] [Bug 1436724] Re: No prompt to unlock sim after airplane mode
I guess UT should do a check after flight mode? Check if sim is locked, if so; prompt? 2015-03-26 10:21 GMT+01:00 Michael Zanetti michael.zane...@canonical.com: @Albert, the bq hardware seems to be a bit special in that it turns off the modem completely in flight mode and loses the unlocked state.
