However I still don't really see anything in the logs to explain the
symptoms you're reporting. Could you check the /var/log/kern.log* files

@ddstreet, unfortunately, I cannot verify this as the bug only occured
for CDMA phones and the CDMA system is only available in the US where
the rest of the world only uses GSM and UMTS systems for cell phones. So
we need someone in the US to verify this fix.

Public bug reported:
Since Ubuntu 16.04, it is impossible to use the microphone of headsets
(those which come with 4 ring jack connector). The main microphone is
sometimes usable (I think it's okay with Ubuntu 18.04). With Ubuntu
19.04, neither the embedded (main) microphone nor those on headsets
Without the patch for LP: #1668771 resolved caches the SERVFAIL answer.
