I have the same problem on a Samsung NP305U1A-A05CO, Xubuntu 14.04 with latest
updates.
I want to report that I have installed the propietary ATI Radeon drivers and
the problem has gone (now sometimes it dosn't resume, but that's another
history).

I am also having the invisible cursor problem after waking up from
suspend on HP Desktop AMD 64. I got the mouse cursor back by locking
with xscreensaver.
I ran the command using alt + f2

Cursor reappeared on lock screen and after entering password the cursor

Same issue as described in #40 (also X1 Carbon with Ubuntu 14.10).

Invisible cursor after resume from suspend
I have the same/similar problem. The mouse pointer disappears
ocassionally. I have not yet identified the cause. Xubuntu 14.04, Kernel

Oops, forgot one key point in above post. I am not suspending the laptop
or closing the lid. It has never happened while I am actively working on
the computer.

I'm also seeing this on a fresh install of Ubuntu 14.10 (64-bit) using
Unity not xfce, on a Lenovo X1 Carbon.
I only see this after suspending for a long period (hours).
Not sure if I should open a different bug as I'm using Ubuntu rather
than Xubuntu.

Hi, I also have the same issue on my eeepc 1225. When Xubuntu 14.10 was release
I upgraded from 14.04 (32 bit).
On 14.04 I did not have this issue; however after the upgrade to 14.10 I also
switched fglrx for the radeon driver, so I cannot say that it is not related to
that.
I suspend my
Ian, I did an upgrade. If you know any packages I can swap round to make
my install more like a fresh one that would be cool.
I haven't had the cursor disappearing problem since removing xfce4
-power-manager and upower, and for some reason my laptop still suspends
when the lid is closed. So I'm
Upgrading to 14.10 did not fix it for me.
This is not a bug in light-locker, I removed the package from my system
and it has not helped.
Post #32 workaround brings back the mouse cursor.

Removing upower seems to fix the problem, but xfce4-power-manager
depends on upower so you lose the ability to hibernate by closing the
lid. Not a good workaround.

yaztromo (tromo): Did you do an upgrade install or a clean install?
There are some packages that were swapped out for 14.10 (especially
related to power management) that you don't get if you do an upgrade
install.

This problem seems to be resolved for me with xubuntu 14.10. I did a
clean install and I have not had this problem since.
