I've got Trac 0.11rc1 up and running with Apache authentification and
am hooked into our SVN repo. So far so good. Now the newbie

How do I install the ticket_clone.py sample plug-in noted in the
0.11rc1 wiki page and in SVN at:

not need
anything in the [components] section for it.

Subject: [Trac] Install and activate
management, test case tracking,
requirements management and so on. But one important thing for me is
that these are different problem domains and that these should be
handled as different ticket domains. Trac should provide the foundation
for this.
I already mentioned in an earlier message, that I
Hi Noah,
Clunkiness is not the issue, we do not wish to require Subversion in
order to use Trac. It is better to reinvient a bit of the wheel in 100
lines of code, than force you to install a much much larger package
(plus its deps, etc). There is also the issue that Trac supports other
your work. Hopefully your company will change their
mind.
I really think something along these lines should be the basic
foundation in trac. If this is the case, a lot of plugins can build
ontop of the core and does not need to restrict the core, e.g. to hide
fields or do some other magic.
Again
Hello Jeff,
Coincidentally in time, I have been working on a plugin that enforces a
ticket submission policy based upon field values (ticket type being one of
the obvious choices): http://trac-hacks.org/wiki/TicketSubmitPolicyPlugin .
This sounds interesting. I can really see a use
since
every checkin will extend or modify the current set of requirements.
Since you can not easily create wiki pages that follow your software
versions (e.g. see the discussion about the trac documentation itself)
it is necessary to store the information under source control.
Best regards
Hello,
considering all the plugins that try to hide, extend, modify or play
with the custom properties of a ticket, and also reading through the
resent discussion about the trac core I have a simple question to
understand a design decision.
If I remember correctly trac started with only one
to Feature Requirements, and so on. This would be great.
The current problem with trac, in my opinion, that the base element is a
ticket, and that this ticket is bend to the other types. Trac should
support many different types (or tables or however you like to call it)
from the ground up, so that you
Hello
Is there any way to create a real mirror of trac and svn ?
