I don't want just another private search engine.
I want DuckDuckGo only because of the feature:
http://dontbubble.us/
I need balance. I don't want filter bubble.
But I also want some relevant search results.
If you are looking for a professional audio mixing and editing click here
Sometimes DuckDuckGo gives me only irrelevant trash.
Sometimes DuckDuckGo don't gives me ANY results.
It seems that it's search database have only small part of RuNet.
Only for example, search query ватикан - рай для

I'm writing in Cyrillic without any accents.
otvety.google.ru is quite popular in the RuNet.
Result of this query discovers bad indexation of some popular russian sites
by DuckDuckGo.

If you want the best searc results under a powerful engine (currently
Google), then use Startpage under SSL: https://www.startpage.com. It is
Google's search results minus the data and IP tracking. They even have image
and video searching as well.
I don't think Startpage has a filter bubble, unless I'm missing something. If
they don't track you (which Startpage doesn't, as far as I'm aware), there
isn't even a technical way to implement a filter bubble.
I made a post in December of 2012 about StatusNet moving from a GPL license
to a more permissive one
(https://trisquel.info/en/forum/statusnet-identica-and-another-blow-agpl) and
now it seems another GPL licensed project is moving away:
Are you sure?
Cookies and other technologies of tracking only help improve relevance of
search queries, because of personalization. But even without personalization

The problem is not there is not gpl version of the program but there is an

of course you can gplize it, but an evil proprietary software developer is
free to take the code of the apache version and make a proprietary program

The GPL benefits the original copyright holder the most becuase they have
total control over the licensing. The copyright holder can change the license
at any time and even dual license the code with the GPL and their own
commercial license if they wanted to make code proprietary if needed.
After 5+ years a number of issues (dead battery, structural flaws,
semi-working keys, iffy fan etc..) forced me to buy a new laptop. After
unboxing I installed Trisquel and all seems to be working out of box.
No issues with the graphics (intel), sound (intel), wifi (ath9x), etc.

This would be just a statement without any evidence.
Since there _is_ a version of the sourcecode licensed under a licence which

The GPL benefits the original copyright holder...
The post is generally true, but don't forget the end-users. It is important
to emphasise the gains of the end-users as the benefits of the copyright
holder are only a side effect of the user protection, which happens to be at

This is interesting, in my case I'd definitely need a program replacing skype
though, just as the OP. The person whom I want to talk with uses Opera

Is there a place to buy the buzz-fixed freerunner? I never had the time to

that a fix existed and the newer board has the issue fixed. If you can get a

Thanks Magic Banana. Is there a reason you recommended the Galaxy S2 over

I stopped by the phone store today to ask them about the S2, and I like it.
It feels great when everything just works. Non-GNU people take that for
granted! Well, except for the planned-obsolescence and feature-tiering.

According to Steven Levy's book HACKERS HEROES OF THE COMPUTER REVOLTION,
Greenblatt was a single-minded, unkempt, prolific, and cannonical MIT hacker

Trisquel includes mesa version 8.0.4. However, I notice there is a
mesa-xxx-xxx-quantal version at 9.0.3. I would like to install the newer mesa
version, but I am not sure of the proper way to do it, as in, are there other
packages I would need to upgrade at the same time?
It's buzz fixed but it doesn't include some of the additional fixes like
improved sound (bass rework).
I suppose I need to get better at figuring that out.
