That's what they're trying to do. I suggested it, and I got gung ho

t3g is half right, jxself. Your time and energy is too valuable to waste on
this pointless thread. Thanks for all that you do, and ignore the haters.

Why don't you also help with getting a free software OS out the door? Your
complaining messages don't motivate people to help, don't help the new
version come any faster, and if anything is a distraction.
Or they could finish the Trisquel 8 release and then start work on Trisquel

Seems perfectly reasonable to me, given how close Trisquel 8 is to a release.
How about you spend less time attacking people personally and more getting a
free software OS out the door?
Repeating, with one more bullet, what I wrote three months ago in

t3g, you are tiresome:

t3g, if you came to the Freedom Fridays meetings you would not be saying
these things. You don't even show up to the meetings on IRC and instead sit
on the sidelines and complain.
18.04 will be Trisquel 9.
Since I couldn't boot into the laptop's hard drive, I booted Trisquel from

USB-connected external hard drive, removed all the old linux files from /boot
in the external hard drives's operating system, then executed sudo

followed by sudo grub-install /dev/sda. That restored my
Yes t3g because criticizing someones hard work when you do nothing to
contribute is totally a good way to show you care.
Yes this totally moves Ruben to want to work harder.
Indeed, feel free to flame him as much as you want. I am sure that will make
him work harder.
And I am sure that
Yep, this thread is kind of useless.
After getting the missing updates through Synaptic Package Manager, I removed
the older versions from /usr/src and from /boot, and then ran sudo
update-grub
and sudo grub-install /dev/sda5; I picked sda5 because that is the location
of all the other versions of linux-headers ... but it didn't
Wow this is really not helpful. Don't forget you are emailing a list of
volunteers, your not returning a broken toaster at Walmart.
For what it is worth, I am very grateful for all the hard work that has
gone into Trisquel. It's been grate for my business and home!
Wish I was in a better
Trisquel 8 isn't fully out and its based on the soon to be 2 year old Ubuntu
16.04 LTS. At this point, it may be wise for the Trisquel team to start fresh
with concentrating on the newer Ubuntu 18.04 code when it releases in April
2018.
I hate to have seen this project die out and these

that _is_ on the desktop.
Worse: the linux-header files in the /usr/src folder are old ones,
and all the newer ones are nowhere to be found.

Thanks. I didn't scroll low enough.
I've just added the page to the wiki.
The same dilemma occurred again ... in March 2018 ... on another computer.
This time, things were so tightly filled up that Icedove wouldn't open,
Software Updater balked, dpkg --configure -a returned a "no space left on
device" error, and the console even crashed when I tried ls on /dev/src.
I see.
