I found one solution. If you create a panel icon, you can set an keyboard
shortcut for the icon.
There was another forum topic about this but it's locked. I install "triskel"
and there is no way to assign keyboard shortcuts to applications. There
should be another menu "shortcuts" section of system settings. Along with
Standard Keyboard Shortcuts and Global Keyboard Shortcuts there
The only patches I use with it are the scrollback patches. But I really need
those.
It's an alt-right conspiracy.
That's true, but if you want to add any of the patches, or configure it
differently from the default configuration, you'll need to compile it from
source. There are no config files. Compiling only takes a couple seconds.
It's that small.
I use st. It's part of the suckless project. Best if you compile it from
source, and there are plenty of patches to add almost any feature you might
want. You'll need build-essential of course. https://st.suckless.org/
My favorite tiling window manager is ratpoison. It's a bit different than the
others, like i3, awesome, or dwm, but it gives you a bit more control of the
layout and you can save the layouts that you like. And like the others it's
very configurable. I guess part of the reason I like it the
It's related in the sense that libreboot only works with a small number of
computers and a large proportion of librebooted computers happen to be
x200's.
That sounds like a good idea. It's not specifically Trisquel related but it
is related to the free bios, libreboot.
The same thing happened to me. I just bought it on ebay and it came with the
switch turned off, but I never noticed it.
Holy shit! That was it!! That also means that the wifi card that came with
the computer probably works too. I am so clueless. Thank you very much!!
This was a replacement for the card that came with the computer. I had
exactly the same experience with that one. It also showed up in lspci, but I
couldn't get it to work with any distro that I tried, free or nonfree.
I know, but it doesn't work. I assume it must be some hardware problem with
the computer.

Yeah, I ordered a wifi card from ebay, it finally got here. I installed it,
not too bad... and it doesn't work. There must be something wrong with the
hardware connection from the wifi card. I actually did finally get a response
from ebay about returning the computer, but that was while I
I just ordered an atheros wifi card that works with x200 with libreboot from
ebay. $2.39.
Massachusetts in the U.S.
I did that on my T400 but it ended up being the wrong card. I didn't enjoy
the experience. Is it easier than the T400?
Oh, and it came with Trisquel 8 installed.
I bought an X200 Thinkpad with Libreboot installed on ebay. Unfortunately it
came without a working wifi card. I bitched and complained and asked for a
refund and got no response. So I just decided to buy a Think Penguin usb wifi
adapter for a few extra bucks so now everything is working. I
How do I move it, or is that something a moderator would have to do?
I had to try out the new addition to FSF's list of approved distros. I've got
to say, it's a tad rough around the edges. They use Openrc rather than
systemd, which I welcome, but I had a hard time getting things like
hibernation to work, since they don't include pm-utils in their
Iridium browser has been cleared by fsf.

It doesn't really matter because you can always install XFCE or LXDE or
anything after installation. Personally I prefer light window managers like
pekwm.
I've never trie Guix. I was intimidated by the installation instructions. How
was the installation?
No, I haven't had any problems so far.
Yeah, I saw what's involved in that and I think it's beyond my capabilities.
This is the one I bought. It does say AR2425, but it didn't work with my
thinkpad.

I just became a member, so I said "thank you" that way.

For what it's worth, I've not used asterisks or caps to bold things in
emails for a very long time, so I've brought them all out the bag as
systemd should not be included in any sensible distros.
