You could try Parabola, its base installation is less than 1GB. Then you can
install desktop environments, applications, games, etc. But be careful not to
fulfill you memory again!
But that is pretty easy to solve. In Parabola happens the same, you only do
$ su
# nano /etc/sudoers
and where it says
## User privilege specification
##
root ALL=(ALL) ALL
then you add you user name right under "root" with the same permissions
ALL=(ALL) ALL
For debian, there´s should be a package like your-freedom from Parabola
https://www.parabola.nu/packages/libre/any/your-freedom/
My intention was to have integrated cameras, but if according to you is a bad
idea...
I was reading somewhere that yes, but I remember in the libreboot website i
read that webcams may use non free firmware. Do these Thinkpads come with
integrated camera but may be minifree removes it? Or not? Or may be I am
saying crap? Or what I´m saying is absurd?
in fact, it was there where I found info about the OpenSSD project.
I would put somewhere the names of the free software foundation initiatives
(Defective by design, h-node, etc) and non-gnu ones (Replicant, Linux-Libre,
etc).
You can also add the ppa
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:libreoffice/ppa
sudo apt update
sudo apt upgrade
And you will get the latest version of libreoffice (and its addons, like
themes and language packs)
downloading from torrent
Yes, I relatively agree with you. I was looking for another option to
Trisquel like Parabola, it´s rolling release (you don´t have to wait 2
years for a new version like Trisquel) and it has very updated packages + it
supports ARM
What about OpenSSD? It´s free firmware for SSD
http://www.openssd-project.org/wiki/The_OpenSSD_Project
I remember it happened to me and I did the same. And also worked!
yes, I was thinking on the same. Maybe it´s the best option
hi everybody, I got a HP Mini 110 and the wifi card doesn´t work. So I
changed it but I didn´t know about the BIOS´s DRM. There are only 3 wifi
cards that work with this model:
-Ralink RT-3090 802.11b/g/n WiFi Adapter module
-Atheros 9285G 802.11b/g/n 1×1 WiFi Adapter module
-Broadcom 4312G
yes, maybe. Not for the ones who fight for a free web.
I found like in 3 Github clients for android in F-Droid saying that Github
runs propietary software. Is that truth? Did you know that? Should we use
Gerrit instead?

This clearly is best than PULPino, a "free brother"

Great idea! Personally, I think your leaflet can improve, it also needs
images. It can be used in free software events or similar. I will develop a
leaflet to spread free software in my school (but I will make copies, of
course) and license it under the creative commons share-alike license
and what trisquel has is not GNOME shell? Because it ships with GNOME 3
Hey, when I get into the website, this appears to me
This is why I really prefer forums than technical support. Thanks guys!!
I have test KDE 5. It´s easy to personalize, even you can get themes online
in the settings. But I am not that sure about KDE using Qt, although it is
"free software"

Hi, sometimes I think in users when they move from windows to GNU, and for
example me, when I did the change my first distro was Xubuntu. The thing is
that Whisker menu is a very good option, but it its for XFCE. Is there sth.
similar to it but for GNOME?
Yes but, at least in my country, it´s too expensive. And I don´t have money
(I´m just a kid!)
Yes, I thought he was joking.
Sometimes I search for the prices of the Lenovo Thinkpad laptops that support
libreboot, but sometimes appears to me IBM Thinkpad. For example: I search
for Lenovo Thinkpad T500 and I find IBM Thinkpad T500, is it the same?
Hi, I´ve seen some tutorials but I don´t really get them. I installed it
with apt by adding the repository. or maybe you can recommend me a provider
(but not like openmailbox owncloud, which is 1GB for free)
why smtube was purged?
Thank you! I could solve my problem. Who needs technical support when been in
a forum with hackers?
ok, sorry. My mistake
Hi Trisquel community! I installed Tor through apt but every time I want to
run it nothing happens, and this appears when I run it from the terminal
$ torbrowser-launcher
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/bin/torbrowser-launcher", line 29, in
import torbrowser_launcher

In that case XMPP is what you need
Tox is the best alternative, it´s right what you need. you can chat through
it and do videocalls (or only voice too) and it´s for most operating
systems. Although form IM I personally recommend Kontalk (based on XMPP and
OpenPGP), but is just for android and you cannot make groups or calls.
yo igual
me too :-)
some times when I compare GNU/Linux & Losedow$, I ask myself, why people use
Winsucks? Because GNU/Linux offers all what a user wants. But not everybody
knows it, and some people don´t want to.
