I'm not a Snap packaging expert. Do you mean, for instance, getting the
source code of the latest version of VLC and make a Snap package and
introduce it for those who want having the latest version of VLC on Trisquel?
I handed over the domain name to Ruben.
There's nothing wrong with this forum.
That website is just an option for those who want to ask about *non-free
kernel drivers* or those who simply prefer something else.
Ubuntu Software Center has *already* being replaced with GNOME Software in
beta releases of Xenial (16.04).
I created unofficial mirror of projects of https://devel.trisquel.info on
Gitlab.com.

PS: Gitlab.com automatically updates the mirrors every hour.
And this is the full video of 'Running Bash on Ubuntu on Windows'.

Today I stumbled upon this commit,
https://devel.trisquel.info/trisquel/package-helpers/commit/597aa87a0ca4fb4f1ee72e63fd00c12a96fe03f6
and it seems that the codename of the new release (Trisquel 8) is 'Flidas'.
At least you can announce it in a bolg or mailing list.
I'm asking for more
I personally support running free software on any platform whether free or
non-free as long as there's no lock-in.

Here's let's break it down slowly...

I personally prefer GNOME Flashback over MATE. And there is no public like
yet.
You can do that using Synaptic. Just open Synaptic and then Origin and then
choose the backport repository, you can see your packages there.
After that, click on the package and from the navbar choose Package > Force
Version, and choose the packages from the non-backport repo.
1.
Is add-apt-repository available in /usr/bin?
2.
If you wanna have a good looking Emacs24 you should compile it on your
system. The Emacs24 which is in the dns ppa is compiled against GNOME 2 not
GNOME 3. And also it is not the latest stable version.
Thanks for letting us know about it. I'll use it and try to report its
issues.
Hello,
I was reading this post (
http://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2014/02/ubuntu-14-04-beta-1-download ) and it was
written there:
Ubuntu GNOME 14.04 Beta 1 users can now install a range of additional apps
from the Software Centre, including Weather, Maps and Photos apps. A GNOME

Isn't an iso image available? Just like Ubuntu GNOME
(http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/ubuntu-gnome/releases/trusty/alpha-2/).
I have a low-speed internet connection.
Do you mean that you get the error when you type C-x C-f ?
You can uninstall it easily via Synaptic. Just open Synaptic and move on
to:
Status Installed (local or obselete)
find teamviewer right-click on it and choose Mark for complete removal and
finally press Apply.
Doesn't Gwibber work with it?
The following plug-ins for gwibber may do the job. I got their names from the
official repository.
* gwibber-service-identica
* gwibber-service-statusnet
I searched for your problem and found,

That might help you.
I had heard about it :)

@Dave_Hunt:
alacarte is the software behind Main Menu.
@Milandini:
It seems that there is a huge misunderstanding. Alacarte (Main Menu) is a
menu editor which can be used for editing menu entries but GnoMenu is
intended for replacing the menu itself.
GnoMenu doesn't exist in Trisquel 6 repositories.
Can't you make it work by just installing it through its PPA?
Does Trisquel have a pastebin page?
like:
http://paste.ubuntu.com

I currently have a blog in Persian and write about Trisquel, GNU, etc. Plus
that, I am writing a complete guide on Trisquel in Persian (using LaTeX) but
I am on the beginning of the road.

I think that I can help.
I am not a Mac user, but it might help you,

Unlike other software, Mac Linux USB Loader can create a live USB that boots
natively on Apple Macintosh computers using its EFI firmware.
Why isn't vrms, which is a GNU GPL software, available in the repo's of
Trisquel 6?

What you concerned about is unity-lens-shopping. But this lens is not
available even in the Trisquel repositories.

Hi. In Ubuntu and Fedora we have System Settings Network. But it seems
that it is not available in Trisquel 6. How can I install that?
I attached what I mean.
Salome-Meca could be an alternative. But I've no experience with it.

Bravo! It was great.
But advice is uncountable. It's better to use great pieces of advice
instead of many advices ;)
While I'm trying to install ubuntuone-control-panel I get the following
message:
ubuntuone-control-panel:
Depends: python-ubuntuone-control-panel but it is not going to be installed
Depends: ubuntuone-client (=2.99.92) but it is not installable
It is might be related to the following bug:
Great, thank you all.
Hello Everyone,
I just downloaded Trisquel 6, but have a problem with Wi-Fi hotspot. For
craeting a hotspot in Ubuntu 12.04 I used to go to Settings Network
Wireless Use as Hotspot... But there is not such an option as Network
in Settings in Trisquel 6.
I found the solution:
I should click on Network icon in the down bar and then Create New Wireless
Network
Can you install packages via terminal? If not, paste the exact error message
here.
@Sascha are you serious about your last post?
I am living in Iran and the government has blocked access to some websites
(Facebook, twitter, youtube, BBC, blogger.com (blogspot), wordpress.com,
ThePirateBay, etc) but we can easily download TOR and use it, and using TOR
is not a criminal
Hello Everyone.
I am a Trisquel user from Iran interested in establishing a small Trisquel
LoCo team in my town.
Does Trisquel support these LoCos as Ubuntu does?
Here's the related page on Ubuntu.com. (http://loco.ubuntu.com/).
Thanks
Thanks @akirashinigami but
for instance, Canonical offers web space for LoCo teams, send Ubuntu CDs for
free, etc.
Does Trisquel has a community manager that we can get in touch with her/him?
Jono Bacon is the Ubuntu's community manager.
