How do I keep companies from spying on me?
Use Tor Browser for most of your ''sensitive'' browsing, and a VPN for your
Banking and the usual web surf..you can change your DNS, use free proxies
As far as I know is to use a free gnu/linux like trisquel and an encrypted no

I want to thank you for raising questions (and in fact not getting most of

From your github account you are someone of experience, a develloper and you
have even made a LiveCD version of Puppy Linux for education purposes
(?)[correct me if i'm wrong]..
But I fear Banshee is dead. It now force closes when trying to open it
Hi Steve ;-)
Can you open Banshee with your terminal, it will give you error messages that
you can post here
Yes Banshee is still in the repo
have you tried Clementine ( a fork of Amarok) ?
If i wanted to play around with Fancy software i would not have nuked a
Trisquel_Fr Framasoft instance i created a year ago, just yesterday
Qemu,KVM, + VirtManager (Graphical Manager)
Virt Manager is a good replacement to VB ( In the Trisquel repo)

I mentionned Drupal Groups several month ago, if not a year ago and had no
reply (on the dev list) Because some of us were using Etherpads & a Framasoft
to colaborate together, but this was not satisfactory as it means users have
to log into another instance.

Yes, thanks Ignacio, know i remember having used ClockWorkMod too ;-)
Hi Lightmoon, i think you mentioned GLAMP Stack somewhere no ?

Great ! Thank you Salman ;-)
Among links that have been previously mentioned on other threads, we often
forget this other detailed explaination in the package helpers readme
https://devel.trisquel.info/trisquel/package-helpers/blob/belenos/README.md
Thank you Salman ;-)
Your Trisquel developper Cookbook is very usefull and insightfull for those
wishing to understand better on how all the process works
On a Galaxy S 3 (I9300): Replicant 4.2 a few years ago, it was fairly
straitforward, i used an external SD card with the Zip.file.But i did try
first with CyanogenMod 10 or 11.
To simplify you have to fork the Trisquel repo/packages in order to push &
merge your package(s) or the one(s) you have chosen to update/modify.ie you
make a local copy, make the changes, (pull) then push (upstream)[merge
request] accepetd or not by quidam.
Salman has made a good Tutorial
David ;-)
I'm as you with Trisquel 7 mini but Xfce, nevertheless Network Manager is

You have to click on Network Manager applet, then modify your current

1st/ it's great that Ruben has included LXqt in the repos, no,idea what the
next Trisquel 8 mini will be based,
Personally i was disappointed (although LXqt is still ,under development )
it's not more lightweight than Mate and resembles a mix between Xfce, LXDE
with a Numix theme,

This system was democracy, not only did citizens participate in a direct
