If its a network of your own computers then a cloud is it not? I have been looking at OwnCloud. It seems like a self hosted cloud, potentially more user friendly way of syncing files accross all of your computers. Is this an incorrect assessment?

There are no dumb questions, only dumb answers ;P This is one of the few open membership forums for people wanting to use only free code software, so these kinds of questions often come up here. In some ways I think it would be better if there was a separate forum for discussion of free code

"Is there a cloud service like that available?" There is no cloud, only other people's computers. :) Think on that and rephrase the question into "Is there someone else's computer I can use?" :)

I assume what you're looking for is a file sync/ backup service. There is an ownCloud client in the Trisquel repositories, which can be used with an openmailbox.org account.

I would like to use something like Dropbox with trisquel. Is there a cloud service like that available? Gnome 3.8.4 -- Peter Stoddard GPG Key C4789DCC
