The image for the membership card is available on FSF/GNU servers
somewhere. It's slightly different from the regular image. The FSF
image boots up basically as a self-contained study suite for GNU
philosophy.

Sorry, I should have read more carefully. I wasn't familiar with the membership
card until now, but it appears to be a regular USB drive in the shape of a
credit card. You should be able to install Trisquel 8 on it the same

if you're happy with T7 but will eventually have to get around to it.
