Try installing directly from https://trisquel.info/en/browser/addons

Hello.
I would like to have Abrowser or IceCat with a session manager, I mean one of
those extensions that let you save your browsing sessions with all your open
tabs and restore them later.
But installing extensions does not seem to work in Abrowser or IceCat. I
search for an add-on,

@SuperTramp83 I don't have that extension. I have also tried this on a fresh
install before I add any extensions to either browser, and the result is the
same.

callmeclean, that is not the case here. I tried with Iceweasel (debian) and I
have javascript disabled.
I remember this "issue" from my Xubuntu days and if I remember correctly it
had to do with a firefox extension, namely *xul-ext-ubufox*. I may be wrong.
Probably am wrong.
Some people here also recommend Searx (e.g. https://searx.laquadrature.net,
searx.me). It runs on just free software. It does give different results
though to Duck Duck Go alone in my experience so I often use both.
You should raise the issue with the developers. I think it is silly too.
When I search using the default DuckDuckGo search in both Abrowser & GNU
IceCat, an HTML GET query is sent. This is what is added to the URL:

things like this to gather statistics on OS usage, but I didn't think

I cleaned out my .mozilla directory and did a system upgrade. Now, I cannot
add extensions to ABrowser. Instead, I am using Icecat, but with LibreJS

bank's site will not accept passwords when I use Icecat; It
in lxde I sometimes by accident minimize/shade the application by using the

Hi forum,
sometimes the Abrowser window disappears and I cannot find it on the two
desktops.
Its task is still active and there is network activity.
Is there a way to hide the browser by using a mouse gesture?
How can I bring the window back?
Thanks.
I managed to fix midori,
I opened the console run

I encountered the bookmarks error in the past. I simply deleted the midori

IceCat is 2 versions behind, too, you know...
Considering that there's a new version of Firefox every two months now, 2
versions isn't all that far behind. And right now, I'm not having any
problems with Abrowser.
I had a brief look at the up-coming Trisquel 6 release, dated
6-November, and found that abrowser is at 16.

One could probably get away with running Mozilla browser 10 and not have

Hello to everyone,
I am using trisquel mini and I really like it.
I am having some problem viewing some websites, like udacity.com or
kickstarter.com I can see them but I can not use them when I click nothing

Try updating to a newer version of Midori via their PPA. You will also need
to add the WebKit PPA. These commands should suffice:
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:midori
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:webkit-team
$ sudo aptitude update
$ sudo aptitude upgrade
Speaking of RAM, there's the page about:memory (type it in the address bar

Sounds crazy. First, you should learn of the Magic system request, the often

forced power off. It usually works. This might save you from file system
corruption. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magic_sysrq

Firefox 5 recently came out, and GNU Icecat is now based on it. When will
the web browser for Trisquel be based on version 5?
It will depend on what the Ubuntu project does. Once the new version of
Trisquel is out, it will have the same version of Firefox as the Ubuntu
distro it is based on. I think next Trisquel is going to be based on Ubuntu
11.04 Natty.
Also, you can always use the .deb packaged IceCat from

Frankly, I don't see it as a big issue that IceCat's add-ons list redirects
to the main Mozilla website. The point is to offer a convenient and
adequately comprehensive list of free software add-ons, not to erect fences
around the users as if they are mindless automatons. Nearly everybody
Maintaining our own list of add-ons has proved to be a cumbersome burden and
unnecessary work. That thing is never getting done. I think we should just
use IceCat's.

Since the Web Browser on Trisquel is not IceCat itself and it is redirecting
