The biggest difference between the two that is noticeable, as with most

are.

To be clear, it doesn't correspond with any Debian version. Ubuntu is based
on a version of Debian Sid (Unstable). But the software in Debian 7 is more
or less similar to the software in Trisquel 6, and the software in Debian 8
is more or less similar to the software in Trisquel 7.
Why would you want to do that? If you're just going to add back in the
proprietary software removed by Trisquel, you might as well use Ubuntu
itself.
AMD is not really any better than Intel in that department, and it's worse in
the sense that their integrated GPUs don't work properly with Linux-libre
(they require proprietary firmware blobs to function fully).
Trisquel 7 has newer software that Trisquel 6, and will be supported longer
(Trisquel 6 is supported until 2017, Trisquel 7 until 2019). That's all.
Other noticeable differences are just an indirect result of using newer
versions of specific programs.
What don't people put their energies into existing systems such as savannah?
Doesn't it provide everything our community needs that Github, Gitlab,
Gitorious and now Gitbull provide? Or am I missing something?
