Those specs are pretty modern, i would suggest using Parabola to test the
WiFi not Trisquel 7.Or as suggested, Trisquel 8 Alpha
As for VPN you want a provider that uses OpenVPN and doesn't collect data on
their clients, and preferably lets you pay in bitcoin to not have payment
data on you

Hi everyone
I would like to purchase one of the libre hardware officially supported PCs
and i was waiting for a quite some time and i think that i am probably
getting one in 2017 however i would need some performance test help in order
to see if it would work for me.
I am indie game
Where do I find what my wifi chipset is on the computer?
Thanks Huang I like the computer, just need to get Trisquel up ASAP, also
another question what would be a good VPN to use for trisquel, since I don't
want to create a new thread asking that question (unless that would be better

Okay, I'll try and when I click that link, it'll automatically download
trisquel 8 alpha onto the computer? Because when I clicked it on the tablet
it came up with a Firefox download screen.
Also where do I find out if my computer is BIOS or EFI, for some reason I
can't find it
The problem is the lack of free firmware for most Wifi chipsets. Try
Trisquel 8 Alpha and see:

You would also get better performances using the integrated Intel graphical
chipset, not the GeForce card (assuming it is recent).
Just a question of prop. wifi driver or not. All should be good. Worse case
scenario you can pick up a wifi dongle here:

I'll reply on here with additional info I can find, the graphics driver is
Nvidia Geforce
Hmm yeah I could create a USB drive instead, but I wouldn't want to screw
something up and what about the wifi that probably may be wrong since you
said probably, is it the ISP I use or something else?

Apart from Wifi (probably), everything should work great. Of course,
installing on the SSD would give you better performances.
Where do I find that in my system settings?
I'm not sure if intel core i7 is compatible. But to know if GNU/Linux-libre
will work, we need more info, like the graphics, the wifi chipset (in the
case of laptops), etc. And also, does it use BIOS or EFI?
Hi everyone, just wanted to wish you guys a Merry Christmas and a Happy New
Year
I got a new computer for Christmas a Lenovo Yoga I'm going to post the specs

It seems that it's continuing under a new name while Cyanogen Inc. is being
shut down. The source code is here: https://github.com/lineageos. I don't
think it will affect Replicant.
Hi everybody out there. I was reading in the XDA website some news, and I
found this:

Cyanogen Inc. has finally delivered a bullet to the brain – of CyanogenMod.
After years of tumultuous turnovers in
gimp ships by default with debian. I agree, it is an essential program to
have on any distro of GAHNUU. Maybe the most entertaining program to play
with.
Jitsi is both a teamviewer and a skype replacement, with encryption.
I made both features work, but the setup is not straightforward, and not
consistent/reliable.
First, there's no simple how-to.
You basically need to download it, check with gpg,
then install it.
Next, you need 2 xmpp
Unfortunately I didn't copy or log it, but recently I found some discussion
about the security level of tox. Can some of you give me or end me to
information about this? If the quality is good it looks like a good solution
but if there are serious issues about functionality or security it's
Hi, thank you lilos!
When you say "Old problems are fixed", you mean Libreboot fixed the problems
you had initially, and that all that remains is the 30s boot lag?

So I take the source from here (https://www.coreboot.org/downloads.html), and
not the blobs, right?
