The JavaScript code is not source code. It's minified. It's no different in
this aspect from a compiled binary. The source code is what you actually
worked with in
It's still in alpha, so the installer probably just isn't quite ready yet.
The important thing is that you can test it, and you only need the live
system to do that.

Last time I checked, Devuan is not better than Debian in terms of software
freedom. Looking at the official list of Devuan-based distros, there are at
least two that consider themselves fully free, EterTICs and Gnuinos
https://devuan.org/os/partners/devuan-distros
https://gnuetertics.org/
Minifree also tries to mislead people into thinking that the C201 they sell
is okay in terms of software freedom by saying: "Your Libreboot C201 obeys
you and nobody else. Even Richard Stallman uses libreboot!" At the same time,
on the libreboot website Leah Rowe, the person controlling both
I did noticed, and actually thought to support EOMA68 because it is not
expensive and seemed like a good idea.
I did found out about possible flaw in bootloader,is there anything else that
is wrong with the computer card(standard and actual card)?
Also i would like to ask you about Devuan.
They are representing themself as an Libre OS with 4 essential freedoms on
their website, however they are not endorsed by the FSF.
Are they really Libre or do they provide blobs like Debian too, just with init
in it instead of systemd?
no man, Multisystem is free software under the GPLv3. Read
http://liveusb.info/dotclear/public/img/multisystem/doc-multisystem/documentation.pdf
page 15 (the last one). It suggests non-free software, but while you don't
use that section, there's no problem.
It is because the goal that is behind it.
Imagine having a person that stole 10 000 000$ dollars from poor people
organising 100 000$ charity event.Should you praise him for making that
charity event,or defy it?
I have to say that you do have to look at price point.
It is not the same if you are out of EU zone and do want to purchase the
hardware inside of the EU or within the US.
For example taxes on the laptop from any Libre vendors that cost for example
700euros would take me between 30% to
I'd like to buy and Arduino SBC. The problem is that IDK anything about
arduino. ¿can I make it work with a GNU/Linux-libre distro? I know that they
make 3D printers too, and somewhere else I read that they also make libre
hardware SBCs.

Hi
Thank you for playing.
Before i decided which dev environment would be my main focus and why i had
to test a lot of different things and collect large amount of theory
knowledge so i could understand the technology and hardware behind it.
My main concern with hardware was the optimisation
Thank you for sharing the info about minifree.I did recently found out about
Technoetic i would definitely spread the word about it.
Is Private Internet Access the one VPN that let's you pay with gift cards or
no?
Okay, I really hate to not use trisquel because I like everything about it,
the interface, the graphics, the privacy, everything, but I'll test it on
parabola and see if it works.
Hi!
I haven't actually used any such program, even though I've been meaning to
look into it (than you for reminding me!), so I can't vouch for any
particular program. However, MultiBootUSB seems decent. It's GPLv2- the
source and licence are at github.com/msusb/multibootusb/. I'll see if I
Yes old problems are fixed only this 30 sec lag is there.
Yes build coreboot with no microcode, x64 is ok.
AMD boards (NIC firmware, AMD IMC, AMD XHCI)
NIC firmware i think this is in other rom .
XHCI this is only for usb 3.0 so no wory.
Libreboot old fork of coreboot for this board.
Thanks for making me discover Jaaa and Japa.
I second the vlc plugin for Jack.
But I would avoid mixing pulseaudio with Jack.
As for the "Entrée", so there is the mic input. To me it's normal, I mean I
don't expect to see anything else.
But I'm no expert at this.
Hopefully with the vlc
Thank you very much for your reply CitoplasmaX. I gave up on installing
Trisquel 8... It gives me error. And Ututo not available yet... oh well guess
need to go to debian again :P
Ututo is coming. There isn't any ISO yet.
I forget to take a pic of it..
I did a second attempt and what appeared is: "We're sorry; the installer
crashed. After you close this window, we'll allow you to file a bug report
using the integrated bug reporting tool. This will gather information about
your system and your installation process. The details will be sent
Where can i download Ututo...?
Can't install it gives me error as superuser at installer ... the error
happened during installation and i did noting. What is the problem with
installer?
I hate to see all the hostility in the free software community. I don't see
why you have to call a project "crap" if it is affiliated with an
organisation you personally dislike.
vlc has a jack audio output plugin in the repo.
theres also a pulseaudio jack package or a package that has the bits
needed to connect pulseaudio to jack. i forget the name. i think you can
guess search in synaptic.
hope that helps.
Nice to see Trisquel making so much progress.
Thanks for the news! What are the changes?
I think that these apps included by default (for Internet) are fine:
-IceCat with LibreJS
-Icedove with Enigmail
-Pidgin
-Ekiga
-Transmission
Finally!!
Thanks very much. I will try it now.
Best regards

as Allanitomwesh said, you should to test Parabola for better compatibility.
A modern computer requires a modern OS, and that's Parabola ;)
Ah okay, thanks Magic

Is that a l or an capital i tonlee? And what would those commands do?
Seamonkey? Still strong as I see, I use it much. irc, editor in it.

Hmm alright I'll see about doing that
Thanks onpon, sorry about the duplicate message above, I'll look into paying

If a VPN doesn't charge you anything, you shouldn't trust it. If Bitcoin
isn't an option, various VPNs offer other options. Some will let you send in
cash, and I'm aware of one that lets you pay with various kinds of gift
cards:
https://www.privateinternetaccess.com/pages/buy-vpn/
You can make a live USB stick. Unetbootin is one easy way to do that.
Thanks Allanitom, I've looked up stuff about Bitcoin, and read up on it, but
I'm a bit worried about using a wallet, I would want to use a free VPN as
opposed to a paid one due to the fact that I'm worried about using Bitcoin at
least at this point in time.

Okay, and once I download the ISO onto my computer, it would give me the
option to test it live without actually installing it onto the external hard
drive? I'm not able to do a live CD because I don't have a CD slot on my
computer.
You can use the same argument for a vendor selling X200 laptops preinstalled
with coreboot and Windows. After all, you can easily replace coreboot with
libreboot and Windows with Trisquel. You don't need to disassembly the laptop
to do that, just run some commands or the installer.

Re: Certification
I bought a X200 right around the time of the meltdown between MiniFree and
the FSF, when Trisquel was still the OS installed by default. With the SSD
and 8 GB RAM upgrades I got with it, it's a stellar machine--boots quickly,
runs smoothly, no complaints whatsoever about
I want to note that the game you linked to is not libre. No source code is
available.
Regarding what computer to use, the X200 and T400 will be the most powerful
computers available with RYF certification for quite some time, I think. But
I prefer to test games with the least capable
Please note that the C201 ARM laptop Minifree sells is not certified by FSF
and as far as I can tell it's not certifiable, because it ships with Debian.
Debian is known to facilitate nonfree software through official repos and
docs. There might be other software freedom problems with

Hello!
I played your game (HTML5 fullscreen version) for a few minutes. I used

to the T400 and perhaps superior to the C201.) On it I'm running Parabola

Hi
I'm trying to use Jaaa or Japa (two FFT sound analysers in real time which
are in our dependancies) with a playback coming from different sources like
VLC or Audacity.
I'm using QJackCtl, the graphical interface for jack-audio-connection.
I used Jack before on an Apple and in the input
Probably EFI. But it does not matter: the same ISO is to be booted (and yes,
I gave you a direct link to download the 64-bit ISO). Notice that I
suggested Trisquel 8 Alpha only for testing purpose. To install, you should
either wait for the stable version of Trisquel 8 or install Trisquel
Hi everyone
I have used Trisquel for a few months and now I want to backup the OS
partition using CloneZilla.
As mentioned in the title, I need to create a bootable USB that includes
multiple ISOs, in my case CloneZilla and GParted. I used to use MultiSystem
as suggested on Pendrivelinux
