Is the problem persistent after change the theme?
I happen to have the same problem as mps, and at least with me the problem is
restricted to abrowser.
This happened after one of the recent upgrades (maybe a month ago?). I didn't
complain before because I know where to click (left button to cancel), but it
does bother me as well...

means future generations can't access the past. Games, experiments and
websites would be forgotten."
This is the problem that future generations face when past generations decide
to use proprietary software. That
I tried installing the gnome-control-center, all it did was give me a
window of all the things I already have, including the non-functional
monitor settings... any other ideas???

Trisquel 6 and 7 are bad but trisquel 8 might be worth something, not sure.
Well from what I know, systemd is too complex compared to runit and sysvinit.
If you wish to know more about systemd's vulnerabilties, ask Luke the eoma68
dev. He knows far more than I.
he did however at one point mention two huge security flaws that went unfixed
for long periods of time,
Well, there are people devs, who disagree with that statement due to it being
done behind closed doors. meh...
once again though, I trust eoma68's dev Luke.
I either respectfully disagree with Supertramp83 or agree with him
conditionally.
I love Trisquel 6 as well, and yes, I do still use it. I just make sure to
either unplug my modem before I boot into it or double check to make sure
that there are no wireless USB adaptors or ethernet cables
Thanks for your response. Both './configure' and './configure.ac' (the latter
is what I see in the extracted folder) give "command not found."
https://github.com/GNOME/evolution-rss/archive/EVOLUTION_RSS_0_3_95.tar.gz
that's the tar. You download it and extract it, then you cd into the
extracted folder and compile.
The standard method is:
./configure
make
sudo make install
>What are you thoughts about this ?
My thought are: you shouldn't use a distro that doesn't provide timely
security updates (both 6 and 7 are bad in this regard) IF security and
privacy of your system and the data on such system is your priority.
You say 6 runs better? How better? Faster?
Good for you. :)
Mind to add this to the documentation? , all manuals, search for the most
proper section to add it in..
cheers!
Is this so only in Abrowser? Are you using a custom gtk theme? I'm asking
because a year ago or so I had a brief fixation with building my perfect gtk
theme and this is one of the things that occur when you fuck up.. Only, you
should see this in several applications, not only Abrowser.
This is not necessarily a Trisquel-specific topic, but seems relevant given
that Evolution is one of Trisquel's default programs.

I found the documentation for this process Severely Lacking, and this was an
unnecessarily frustrating setup. Here is the answer to anyone who is having a
hard time configuring the gnome openvpn network-manager with NordVPN (this is
how I got it to work, ymmv):

I don't understand how systemd restricts freedom.
There is hardly a piece of software you can use without dependencies.
How is that bad?
Systemd is not an init is a set of tools. So most desktop environments are
using those tools. Avoiding doing the same work twice or more times.

Nah, there is Definitely something wrong with network manager and ovpn.

systemd doesn't restrict freedom.
So after 'make' and a minute of building I get this. Any tip much

Thanks for considering my question.

file, the text in the option buton is

I have seen the same thing happen in education that CalmStorm describes
happening to video games downthread. This happened during roughly the same
period of time.
I can agree to disagree with you. We're fine. No angry ad hominem slinging
debates from me.

Years. It took more than two years.
What security issues? Perhaps it can be fixed.
Also, systemd is free/libre software, so at least it has all the
essential freedoms of practical/functional data/work in question (the
software, that is, systemd).

We do live in interesting times.
What about the security issues of systemd/stability issues?
also, gnome is crap and so is kde.
We shouldn't make everything require systemd because of the security issues
it has + that is a way to restrict freedom.
I really don't trust systemd... that's about it.
Yea, but my point was that even if you didn't know anything about Ali and

By apolitical, I meant that Uruk would not be dismissed as a curiosity or be
