Please don't install it. Proprietary software is never the solution.
Linux-libre shouldn't print such messages. I'll mention it to lxo.
scrot
I find Scrot to be quite inconvenient (though I might just not know how to
use it properly. PrtSc should achieve a similar result. If that's what you're
looking for. I recommend you take a look at Flameshot. Allows for screenshot
selections, annotations and other convenient features.
Exactly. Here are the supported domains:
https://www.eff.org/https-everywhere/atlas/
And https://www.eff.org/https-everywhere/rulesets explains how to add a
ruleset to HTTPS Everywhere.
I am still on Trisquel 7 but anyway:
Additionally, I do not know how to connect to other repositories such
as the Trisquel 8 repositories to see if some of the missing packages might
be available.
Isn't there "Software & Update" (or something like that) in the "MATE Control
Center"?
HTTPS Everywhere has a set of rules for different websites. You can get a
rule for hedgewars.org added if you want, just submit a pull request.
"The Human Being is a omnivorous animal after all."
Indeed, we are omnivorous, not carnivorous. We can survive entirely on a
plant-based diet, and it causes less harm both to animals and to the
environment to consume plants rather than animals. Defending eating meat
because it is natural
Thank you.
In that case, isn't choosing to use free software also a lifestyle choice
that can cause a lot of stress? Except the difference is, using proprietary
software reduces your own freedom a little bit, while consuming animal
products harms others to the point of having no freedom whatsoever.
Veganism does not cause depression, and it's not expensive. Yes, the various
fake meats are expensive, but those are unnecessary. Stop spreading FUD.
And that is why I DON'T like to use it!
yep.
I use a dongle wifi usb adapter rather than enable the damned non-free wifi
blob.
I didn't even have to block unencrypted requests it just auto goes to
https... oddly enough.
What's your XMPP/Jabber address by the way?
Your profile page in the Trisquel forum doesn't tell much, nor your
e-mail signature (non-existing currently).

I just tried to make jxself aware of this issue. Both in IRC and in XMPP.

I have aspire as well, it has wi-fi card which requires non-free software and
Intel ME
..and proprietary BIOS of course
..and restricted boot
heh
it works, if you just block unencrypted requests :)
interesting
I've just tried pretending to be on different browsers on different systems,
but it seems like they don't manipulate on this criteria
and.. I haven't found any rules for hedgewars.org, so even if they do use
malicious functionality, HTTPS Everywhere won't deal with it (?yet?)
Thank you! I came across that fix before, but I have never considered it an
option.
Why then did the redirection work for me then?
Your not alone in this issue, I have had the same problem on hyperbola which
uses debian stretch packages.
its odd because, mtp doesn't work very well from replicant 6.0 v3 anymore
than it works from replicant 6.0 v1
if (location.href.indexOf("/fr/") != -1) {
$("div.signature").hide();
if (location.href.indexOf("/fr/news") != -1)
window.location.replace("http://www.hedgewars.org/news-fr;);
}
they do make http link load, so the chances that they don't support https are
real, but it yet doesn't
Strange, I just used hedgewars.org and https was behind it for me.
Though I am using Hyperbola and not trisquel...
Hmm... maybe I should try it on my netbook sometime... see if that is the
problem. :0

httpsmostofthetime is better than nothing, but if there is a more reliable
alternative then it should probably use that instead.

I don't want to swear that they force users to stay with http (it is possible
of course)
hmm.. lets browse their javascript code
Hmm... then why does tor browser use httpseverywhere? just wondering...
Using Tor Browser, which has HTTPS Everywhere installed, I do not get
redirected to https://hedgewars.org either.

Can someone confirm the following? Take the hedgewars website for instance.
Whether I write in searx 'hedgewars' and then click on the link or directly
write 'hedgewars.org' in the urlbar I do not get redirected to the
(available) https version of the site. So, my question is: is this a bug?
Apparently the fix (which is never a fix as proprietary software is never a
solution but **the** problem) is installing proprietary microcode as
described here ->

I agree with you, it would like that people wasn't as dependant in technology
as they are. It's quite sad to see in a cafe toghether with friends and just
looking to their cellphones not talking to each other. But always remember,

I CAN NEVER ADD PEOPLE ON XMPP!
WHAT. THE. FUCK.

I am fine with OMEMO, but if it is comfortable to you, I can use OTR as well
Well I think I'll give my opinion on these topic. Probably much of what I'll
say has already been said but anyways.
If you can't make friends with other peoble because you don't use facebook,
skype or others then those people are not worth having as friends. Real
friends will always prefer

There's a typo in the message. It said "version: 0x52 (or later)". Sorry.
I should begin saying that I don't have almost any experience using
GNU/Linux, although I am happy with Trisquel so far.
After upgrading linux-libre kernel to the last LTS version in Trisquel 7.0 I
get this message during startup:
