Recent Intel integrated GPUs have started requiring proprietary blobs for
some (important?) features. I don't know the full details.
Regarding Hexoshi, yes. Progress is slow, but that's to be expected at this
point (lack of time and all that).
These problematic components are grossly processors, BIOS, graphics, wifi,
not just wifi and graphics. For my own situations my wifi and BIOS are
nonfree but my graphics are libre. Parabola, PureOS, Devuan, Trisquel are
just run well on my i3-2367 (amd64) w/o needing nonfree microcodes.
Thank you I onpon:) are you still doing Hexoshi? I tried what was done and it
was very cool. Felt just like Super Metroid.

Perfect. I thought only the libre add-ons listed here
https://trisquel.info/en/browser will work.
The problem componetns are WiFi and the GPU.
For the GPU, make sure it's an Intel CPU. All Intel CPUs have Intel
integrated graphics controllers, and these are the only ones that work
without proprietary blobs in Linux.
For wireless, you have to get something old, because that's completely

Fear no more, we fixed the issue, :-)

You have to wait until the new package is built (version
7.4.5+16.04.20180221-0ubuntu1+8.0trisquel3) and just update the system as
always (^_^)b
Looks interesting, but why is it only for chrome and mozilla?:/
Hey Technoethical. I know about the Libreboot laptops, but right now I’m
just looking to upgrade my desks top computer. Thanks. :)
Is there an add-on for Abrowser, similar to Firefox Multi-Account Containers?
Any other suggestion on how to separate your web browsing?
Different profiles? Different browsers? VMs? Lemme' know.
Hello.
Is there any way to change the background image that appears when Trisquel is
loading and when you are at the login prompt ? I changed the desktop
wallpaper, and i tried to use dconf. I copied my desired image and change it
instead of flidas.jpg, but the image is always the same.

SciDavis looks like a good match. My immediate task was to convert about a

Awesome!
Over the last few days I've experienced the same issue while using WebHTTrack
to clone
a big website (ca. 30 GB so far, maybe twice that in all ... eventually) but
the download
stalls after varying periods. My ThinkPenguin dongle is TPE-N150USB, for

Actually, the ThinkPad T400s is the single most modern laptop (product
launched by Lenovo in June 2009) that has free software graphics and works
with a fully free BIOS, with the ME blob removed.
For one year our shop has been selling worlwide the Technoethical T400s

You want Intel integrated graphics. Sadly, post-2008 Intel hardware means as
well a Management Engine that cannot be removed:

But later GPL before the abandonment thanks?
Finally got it done. Thanks again, all.
Yes a good news that Ubuntu abandons the Unity shell.
Will this abandonment come Unity to be a desktop shell officially for the GNU
project?
I also need to rewrite the Trinity shell by adding LXQt and Lumina stuff like
QTerminal to it and removing KDE deps as possible to shrink it.
