Update on the Wacom issue: the xorg-server 1.19.4-1 update has solved the
problem.
I've migrated recently, but it wasn't on a fresh install. It went pretty
well, except for this one hiccup...
If any of you have a Wacom digitizer/device, the xf86-input-wacom driver will
cause extremely long boot times!
It could be related to this bug :
That's a problem with the MATE live desktop ISO. It hasn't been updated since
xf86-video-* packages were changed to simply be xf86-video-intel,
xf86-video-nouveau, and so on. I've tried manually changing the packages in
the install script, but there were some other hiccups I don't recall.
Thanks for the info!
I used to have problems installing Parabola, but then I learned it was due to
one dumb mistake - not using the space bar in the dialog-based graphical
installer to select an option and THEN hitting enter! :P
There is a problem right now though with the MATE desktop ISO, where several
It may be worth considering adding the N150 with the phone for the price, and
even adding a 64 GB micro-sd card. A preintalled screen protector would also
be a sweet addition.
Some extras like that may help potential buyers justify the price tag, and it
doesn't cost that much to add. It

From the link :
" You can use ffmpeg for this:

Those media control keys look nice, I could see that volume rocker going on
my X200 Tablet.
Also, is that touchpad textured? It looks like a matrix of squares or
circles.
Sweet! Now I just need to new stickers for my 'tehnoetic' X200 tablet :)
It's working for me. The reliability of their service isn't exactly the best
at times, that's for sure...
They're good to know if you'd like to develop or change a program which is
then compiled to binary (assuming you have the source code, of course).
You've probably heard of C being used for the Linux kernel and C++ for
anything else. C++ works very well with C, but sometimes it requires small
Howdy folks,
I've been following the progress of ANN's lately, and it seems like every
month there's a big innovation. The ability to generically create solutions
for complex problems is great, but the abilities it enables for companies who
have tons of real-world data is huge.

I'd actually recommend Terminator if you're looking for something that's easy
to use but also functional. Terminals can be split vertically and
horizontally either by key binding or from the right mouse click menu,
there's tabs, you can zoom in, etc. You can also customize the appearance a

Version 2.2 seems to be available. I haven't tried downloading the branch, so
I can't tell you what the contents are. They don't seem to actively promote

For Nvidia cards you can view Nouveau's (free-software Nvidia driver) feature

The 7300GT is classified as an NV40, which is supported. You can see which

Any time!
I had the same thought. There's a micro sd card and usb adapter lying around
here somewhere, might be worth a try...
I recently bought an X200 tablet from Tehnoetic, here's a picture of what the
adapter and card look like on the inside. You can see the Bluetooth adapter
is Tehnoetic's Nano adapter, which they also sell on the store, along with a
mini PCIe USB adapter (nice bonus!). It comes with the N450
The biggest reason for switching in my case was to use newer packages. This
of course comes with the occasional bug from the software being hot off the
stove, but if one’s willing to deal with them you get a fast, up to date
distribution. Plenty of desktop environments as well!

Hello, everyone!
It’s been about two years since I started switching to free software.
Trisquel was there at the beginning of my journey until moving to Parabola,
and has been a great means to introduce friends and family to free software.
Since that time I’ve regularly checked the forums
