I used to have problems installing Parabola, but then I learned it was due to
one dumb mistake - not using the space bar in the dialog-based graphical
installer to select an option and THEN hitting enter! :P
There is a problem right now though with the MATE desktop ISO, where several
driver packages need to be commented out of the install script to prevent it
from failing, and a few other things. The main ISO works fine though and I
used it recently on a system.
Once you get the hang of installing Parabola though, it's worh it. I'm using
an X200t with Parabola only and it runs great.
