I just found out that I don't have the package's .deb file anymore, but here follows a hint: One way out of this issue is to use a previous version that you still have installed. Upon starting the computer (in the first second), press left Shift, this will take you to the GRUB entry selection screen, go to the item that is near Trisquel and which says "other versions" or "previous versions". If GRUB asks for a user and a password, the name is "grub" and the password is inside the "/etc/grub.d/01_PASSWORD" file.

The screen doesn't get any signal, so I guess (I'm I am also experiencing this issue, at least with versions of the kernel newer than 4.9.59. Re: [Trisquel-users] PC not waking up properly after suspending
Solved! I upgraded the kernel to 4.15.7-gnu Now I can suspend safely with the Nvidia card.
Re: [Trisquel-users] PC not waking up properly after suspending
I selected the integrated graphics card in BIOS setting and moved the DVI connector from the Nvidia graphics card to the integrated one. That solved the problem, although I don't think it is a really convenient solution. I can handle it, but it is a bit of a hassle to change settings and connectors whenever I need to use the graphics card.
Re: [Trisquel-users] PC not waking up properly after suspending
I tried this solution: https://askubuntu.com/questions/757177/disable-nvidia-optimus-graphics-card to disable Nvidia graphics card, but it didn't help. The only thing it did was lowering my resolution.
Re: [Trisquel-users] PC not waking up properly after suspending
Can you try removing the graphics card and suspend it again? Last time I used trisquel in my low end biosed laptop it is able to suspend though it used an Intel onboard card.
[Trisquel-users] PC not waking up properly after suspending
I'm pretty new to Trisquel and GNU/Linux in general and I have recently installed Trisquel for the first time. Almost everything (after updating Linux-libre kernel to its last LTS release) is working like a charm, but there is one thing that has never worked and it is bothering me: when I wake the computer after suspending it I always get a black screen. The screen doesn't get any signal, so I guess (I'm not an expert, so I might be wrong) the problem could be related with the graphics card's controller. I'm using a Geforce 1050 Ti. I know it is not a major problem, but I am used to suspending the computer in other operative systems. I just don't like to hear its noise when I'm not looking at the screen.
