That arouses my curiousity. Because Mozilla NTLM authentication only works on
Windows clients, I suspect that the authentication between client and server
would be "good old-fashioned" NTLM and therefore vulnerable to l0phtcrack.
I'd venture to say that using NTLM might actually be worse than b

Caleb is right on this mark. I even suggested working the NT
password into the CourseInfo server for the same seam
Regardless weather we use Basic or NTLM authentication, the backend is
going to be the Domain password database. So, the idea is that even
simple encryption is better than none. I know that this is bad
security-wise, but it is much easier for users. I am aware of
Self-Signed certs, and have tal

Since we already have one, there would be no reason to buy
another. Presumably a directory update form would just go on the

Not to pick too much, but until today this was a bit moot since
many non-IE users were also non-CP users for the same reason.
However, I believe the helpdesk staf

I apologize, the information below is incorrect. The pipeline updater
is only for students. I have discussed the issue with the person in
charge of the updating system, and he said that the issue will probably
be fixed soon for linux clients using a complicated system we have
developed. Again,

FYI: This information can be modified inside of Pipeline. After you log
in, you can click on Truman Searches and then Edit
I was in fact misinformed, or rather uninformed about the failure
of the upgrade. The upgrade was announced much ahead and
predicted to take 2-3 days. It had been 7 days (of which 2 were
weekend) when I assumed that the upgrade was complete. I should
have asked when there was no service note.
I want to clear up some misunderstandings about the pipeline portal
system. First, if you go to http://its.truman.edu you will notice on
the right-hand side the news section. Click on that. Under date:
8/4/2003 you will notice the Campus Pipeline Upgrade Status. Click on
that. You will notice

Well as for the Pipeline portal, I'm going to have a few words to
say about that. I am so sick of ITS members blathering on about
