These packages were built with libjpeg-turbo 1.4.1:

All of the TurboVNC binaries back to 1.2 have been digitally signed.
The RPMs and DEBs are signed using the following GPG key:
http://www.TurboVNC.org/key/VGL-GPG-KEY
or
http://pgp.mit.edu/pks/lookup?op=get&search=0x6BBEFA1972FEB9CE
To verify the RPM package signatures:
sudo rpm --import '{ke
Correction:
Use the procedure described here:
http://www.turbovnc.org/Downloads/DigitalSignatures
to verify the DEB signatures. Importing the key for debsig-verify is
unfortunately more complicated than described below, so I had to write a
script.

There was a bug in the 2.1 beta1 build that prevented one of the classes
(TJException) from being included from libjpeg-turbo 1.5 beta. This
resulted in JPEG decompression being unaccelerated. If you have already
downloaded 2.1 beta1, then please uninstall it and install 2.1 beta2
instead. Sorry
Clarification: the bug affected only the Java/Un*x/Mac viewer, not the
native Windows viewer.
