I checked in most of your patch with a few mods to remove a dangling
clogging dependency in the poms and minor checkstyle stuff. I didn't
check in ScaWebApplicationContext as Jeremy has some changes going on
that we'll need to refactor to. I don't think the samples will work

Thanks for doing this! Yes, a utility class is probably a good idea.
Let me know what I need to do to get ScaWebApplicationContext in
since I have some internal uses of this right now.

explicitly referencing my extension scdl because of
