[TYPO3-english] Re: Typo3 Site Migration from Linux to Windows

2018-02-26 Thread Luca Naso Rappis

Thanks Christian, this was exactly what I needed..I managed to enable the
install tool and after to create an admin account for the backend.

From that point i solved my problem with some researchs in this way (maybe the
solution can be useful to others):

- I found that i had to put "config.absRefPrefix = /mysite/" into che SETUP
configuration of the root page of the site (in the section Templates inside the backend)
in order to tell the baseURL of my site.

- In the apache config file httpd.conf I had to enable the module "mod_rewrite"
that was commented (LoadModule rewrite_module modules/mod_rewrite.so)

- Restart Apache

With these operations now the site url are loaded correctly and the whole site
is working.

Thanks again,
Luca

No if you can see the page on domain.tld/typo3/install (there is only a
password input field) than you have access to it:

write down a password of your choice - than copy it in this input field of
typo3/install -> enter
then there is a message with a cryptic string - copy it (if there is a ending
point, than copy it too).
then go to your typo3conf/LocalConfiguration.php there is a key->value called
"installToolPassword" paste it there.
then you can login to the Install-Tool - and there you can set a new BE-User
Account

Hi Christian Platt, actually my problem is that I already have a Mysql
installed on this Windows machine, but I can't create my own database since
they gave me the script to import it. Plus, as I said I can't run the first
install because they already gave me the files from their typo3 installation
(Linux) to migrate them under my Windows.

[TYPO3-english] Re: Typo3 Site Migration from Linux to Windows

2018-02-22 Thread Luca Naso Rappis

No, maybe I explained it bad.. I can see the site home at localhost/mysite but
all the links not working and some content is not visible (so basically the
site is not working, it seems just a static home page).

Regarding the backend, at localhost/mysite/typo3 I can reach the typo3 login
page, but they didn't send us (we asked) credentials of the DB imported, so
since the passwords are all encrypted I guess I can't access to the backend
page..

Regarding the Install-Tool, I tried it, but again it needs the user/password
specified in typo3 installation (that I didn't performed as I described above)
so I don't have these credentials.

So the only one thing I can do is to wait these credentials?

Thanks

I'm a little bit confused - your frontend works, but without the right paths
(e. g. for the images) ?
But you cant get to the backend? (domain.tld/typo3) ?

You can check the Install-Tool test. (domain.tld/typo3/install)
The PW is in the LocalConfiguration.php.

But i think you have to go in the BE to fix your URL/Path problem.

[TYPO3-english] Re: Typo3 Site Migration from Linux to Windows

2018-02-22 Thread Luca Naso Rappis

Hi Christian, thanks a lot for your answer.
The steps you described are the ones that I followed, in particular now I have
this situation:

- I have the htdocs folder with inside the folders typo3 (just extracted and
not installed) and mysite (see htdocs.png) that is the structure you suggested
right?

- Into mysite folder I have the files you listed (you can see the details in
mysite.png). In particular I copied the folders: fileadmin, static, typo3conf,
typo3temp, uploads and .htaccess from the files they gave us. After i created
the three symlinks in order to point to typo3 in the above folder.

- Regarding the DB, they gave me an sql script to execute in order to create it
(under mysql), and inside mysite/typo3conf/LocalConfiguration that I copied I
found the DB details. The only one thing I did was to execute this script and
to create under my db the user/password they put into DB details with grants
for this DB (is this ok?). For this reason I didn't run the FIRST_INSTALL.

Regarding the uppercase you said, at the moment we haven't access to the backend (we
still don't have accounts of the db) so I can't check..but the frontend is still missing
images/content (the browser url redirect for example to mysite/about but for all url it
says "The requested URL /about/ was not found on this server.").

Do you have further suggestions?
Thanks a lot again :)
Luca

[TYPO3-english] Re: Typo3 Site Migration from Linux to Windows

2018-02-21 Thread Christian Hackl

I dont know the code TypoScript, but you can search for baseURL and than set it
to your needs.

a good way is:

httpdocs/
httpdocs/typo3_sources
httpdocs/typo3_sources/typo3-src-8.7.9/
httpdocs/yourDocumentRoot/
httpdocs/yourDocumentRoot/index.php <- symlink
httpdocs/yourDocumentRoot/typo3 <- symlink
httpdocs/yourDocumentRoot/typo3_src <- symlink
httpdocs/yourDocumentRoot/fileadmin
httpdocs/yourDocumentRoot/typo3conf
httpdocs/yourDocumentRoot/uploads
etc.

if you want it just a little bit safer, than you can add a
AdditionalConfiguration.php (must be that name) and put it in typo3conf folder
In this file you can import a file e. g. typo3_db_config.php
This file is seperate from DocumentRoot too like:

httpdocs/typo3_config/typo3_db_config.php

If you have uppercase names in your Paths to the images for example
fileadmin/user_uploads/MyFolder/myFilde.png than you can check in the backend Root-Icon (ID=0) -
select it, than select at the left side "list" and edit the fileadmin content <- there is
a checkbox for this something like "use uppercasecamel"

and dont forget the database to include. If you havent a database you have to install
TYPO3 with the file "FIRST_INSTALL".
If you have a folder called typo3conf than they have to send you the database :) and you
dont need to "install" TYPO3
