Hi Mike
Sorry I am responding so late. Another option you could use is to add to
your ReTrieve statement: TO docname. This will then send your XML output
to the XML file with no page breaks. Your syntax would be something
like:
EXECUTE LIST filename criteria TOXML TO xmldocname.
Thanks
Kurt
Thanks, Kurt
This is a good suggestion, but unfortunately it will not work for
us - the guy doing the work has tested it.
It won't work because we are using UV SQL to produce XML not UV
RetrieVe, because our process needs to join multiple files. The TO
key-word is not permitted in the UV SQL

Yes, we've tried the 'NOPAGE', it doesn't help.
Current approach is to re-process the output XML and scrape out
any occurrences ESC[HESC[J
A bit crude and nasty, but it works

If I knew where the default print channel ... NFMT option
went, I might have changed it. But I don't, so I haven't
changed it as far as I know. The only reference to this I can
find is in the UniVerse Guide for Pick Users and since we were
a Pr1me Information site, not Pick, I
You have my sincere sympathy!
Something has gone awfully wrong with updating UniVerse lately, and they
don't seem to think it is important that behaviour that has been there for
decades should suddenly change (eg user number for each session, A1,-1 = B
adding @VM to A if it is not blank, but
Mike,
I assume you've already tried it, but does a simple NOPAGE on the RetrieVe
command work?
Otherwise I guess XMLEXECUTE is probably the best bet, as that is likely to
be the quickest to get fixed if there IS anything wrong! It is also a key
part of the UO.net stuff, so there is a lot of
Is is possible that your default print channel on the old version had NFMT as
one of its options, and the one on the new version does not (so that UniVerse
is inserting a new page every @CRTHIGH lines)? Just a thought.
