I can tell you from hard learned experience that the 2 GB limit applies to both
DATA.30 and OVER.30... and when you get within a few MBs of the 2 gig limit the
file becomes pretty fragile.
I can also tell you that I've witnessed no appreciable performance hit with
using 64 bit files, even though they are physically larger. Then again we've
got pretty peppy disks and lots of RAM, YMMV.
