Citrix Metaframe Server may be a solution for you. Your VB front-end will
run on a Windows Citrix server, and it can be accessed by a thin client or
even a browser on most platforms. Mac Citrix clients are available for
both PowerPC and OS X.

Hi Mike,
Given that you're running a custom VB app, the question you pose is a bit more
about citrix/mac than it is about universe. Citrix will provide remote access
to any app from the citrix client. Your VB app will run on a windows box with
citrix server software. Citrix does have mac clie

I don't think it is overly paranoid. Nor do I think it is overly
cautious.
This is my work address and I never use it except for business and this

Beats me, maybe one of our client sells email addresses on the side.

It's much more practical than protecting against packet sniffers. Anyone
can subscribe to the list and get addresses and anyone can go to the
archive (with a program) and harvest addresses from prior postings going
back a few years. It happens all the time and I do my best to avoid it.

So, take IBM's advice and move D3 to UniVerse not UniData.

It's a trick so sniffers can't harvest email addresses and web addresses
from TCP/IP packet transmissions. Do what it says: removethis then use the
rest. Simple. Of course, I say that after having to figure it out once,
