Use Universe's SSL socket. I know this works with HostAccess terminal
emulator, but I'm sure most of the other emulators out there support SSL. As

Hi.
Does anyone know how to change the default UMASK (022) inside a RPC
connection?
Our UV.LOGIN has a sentence:
UMASK 002
and it works from telnet connections.
But if I do a EXECUTE CREATE.FILE x from inside a RPC connection, the
permissions of the new file are -rw-r--r--.

When it comes to setting up umasks on a system I prefer to set the default in
the /etc/profile so that all who login in get this as default. Then anybody
else who needs a different umask set in their /home/username/.profile

First, you mention table support. Print Wizard does currently have some

What you have described is focused on markup-to-PCL or markup-to-PS, plus

Oh - that reminds me of something else I'd call a bug. It might well have been

I presume that the file has a key already.
Rather than create an index, I would write a little UniBasic program.
If there is interest in this approach, I suppose that I could whip up some code.

Using dimmed matrixes is still a lot faster.
If you have a dynamic array of 10,000 items and you wantA9995 when you
extract it, it will parse the whole until it passes 9994 @AM then it will
extract whatever is between the 9994 and 9995.
Having it in a dynamic array is like having a

We had the same problem.
We had to change all our RPC connection logic so the first thing it does is
to run a function (a logon program for UVCS connections) equivalent to the
UV.LOGIN so we could trigger the execution of the UMASK for the duration of
the RPC connection to UV.
This works well for
