I have also written interfaces into UPS using similar methods. I not sure
what methods are available in DHL. I designed an interface in the past that
wrote to a third party shipping system called "Clippership" using VB Objects
to communicate in real-time with a UniData database.

I've done direct ODBC for UPS and FedEx from mv (D3 on linux in my
case), so I suspect that DHL has to have the same ability.
