Here's an anecdote, not a statistic; I had an AF5X that I had to RMA due to
a chain imbalance that remained after swapping
The issue is with AF5x, not Rockets. The Rockets are working just fine
(short of not meeting capacity needs).

We are finding on most rockets that the flat washer/nut on antennas are
loose, and can leave a tiny gap after the antenna is attached. There is a
rubber seal under the flat nut, but if it is too loose, moisture will get
into radio. Also, if installer did not give that finger tightening an
Interesting... that's the same thing we were using. The first two times it
happened on our link, we fixed it by replacing the jumpers, but it seemed to be
water leaking into the vertical N connector, the third time we just got sick of
it and replaced the whole works with a UBNT antenna, so I'm

We had a similar issue... I believe it was water in one of the antenna
connectors, but we eventually ended up replacing everything.
What kind of dish are you using?

They parallel each other, both sides have the same signals (from 60,85 to

Have you tried completely changing the pigtails? Maybe it's a bad pigtail,
especially if the bad chain follows when you change the pigtail to the
other port?

I'm working back on this link again and I'm wondering if there isn't a
hardware issue. Just wanted to bounce some thoughts.
We put up the link with two 2' dishes. After aligning both sides we get
60/85 ch0/ch1 (note it's exactly 25dbm off). On Friday we changed ch0 to
ch1 to verify the issue
hah, yous guys. ...
To be fair, I also campaign against multi-mode and Kate is pretty good in the
kitchen... with real food. For example, this morning I had siopao and an omelet
with mushrooms, spinach, etc.
