We replaced our 5ghz rocket with 30db antennas backup link with the airfiber 5x with 30db antennas converted x-kit and were never able to get them higher than -74 rssi. Did better with the rocket. Only changing out equipment to get more throughput. Airlink stars it should be -53 with that setup,

Those are actually only 23dbi antennas... I agree, there's no way I'd try using an AirFiber 5 on a link that long. an AF-5x, 5xHD, or one of the many other connectorized radios out there, and at least 2' dishes is what you want. I would expect those things to link, as long as everything is
