they had IPv6 support!

Re: [Ubnt_users] Looking for a network consultant at WISPA

2018-03-07 Thread Sam Tetherow
I would spend some time at the UBNT booth talking to the UNMS/UCRM
folks.  Last time I checked they had severe limitations on the number of
devices that could be managed with the software (along the lines of
400).  I know we have pushed AirControl over the limit by quite a bit,
but we currently need 3 different AirControl servers to manage the
radios.  We pretty much only use it for firmware upgrades at this point
since it can't manage the entire network in a single instance.

We're switching to Ubiquiti routers and are planning on using UNMS and
UCRM.

I'd like to meet up with someone here at WISPA.

@Darin Yes, I agree, so we're still manual with Quickbooks for now.

And even Intuit has problems occasionally that are difficult to get fixed.

UCRM is still beta of course and who knows how long it will be before we
would dare subject a customer to it. It does sound as if some providers
are using it, but without even an operator manual I wouldn't switch to it.

Thanks!

[Ubnt_users] Looking for a network consultant at WISPA

2018-03-06 Thread James Wilson
We're a small WISP that has outgrown our network design competency so we're
looking for some design and configuration help.

We're switching to Ubiquiti routers and are planning on using UNMS and
UCRM.

I'd like to meet up with someone here at WISPA.

Thanks!
