Hi, Just to let you know that I've just done the following steps and found no problems. This is a brand new VM with *Lubuntu* Xenial. 1. added ubuntugis ppa 2. installed postgresql (9.5) 3. installed postgis (2.2) 4. installed pgadmin3 5. created a database 6. create extension postgis; 7. run pos

It's nice to have - it just makes the users a bit excited when a new version comes out. I was teaching a QGIS class at FOSS4GNA on Monday of last week and it was a great show and tell for the users - BUT - some people started updating in the middle of class. Ha. Randy On 05/10/2016 09:35 AM,

I can only speak for GDAL, QGIS, and GRASS but so far everything seems to be working fine. I built a VM using xubuntu and am testing in that. I would say the only thing I noticed is QGIS flashes that small warning at the bottom that 2.14.2 has been released. Which isn't a bug - just warning

I've set up a xenial VM and am installing now. I was also looking at qgis.org at the install instructions - I suppose at some point the instructions need to be modified to point at stable vs unstable per https://www.qgis.org/en/site/forusers/alldownloads.html#debian-ubuntu * *Randy* * On 05/0
