The problem seems to be NOT firefox itself because I have a separate
firefox installation which works in Breedy without any problems but
causes the same output started in Dapper Drake.
IMHO the problem must be caused by GTK or the x environment

I am also using the nvidia driver and viewing a signed code of conduct
page causes X to restart immediately. I experience the same behavior in
both Firefox and Epiphany (seems to be generally related to gecko). I

I just added a printer. I looks like ubuntu doesn't set it as the
default printer automaticaly. This results in the fact that acroread
can't print by default (which is very inhuman :)). Also in gnome-apps, I
have to explicitly select my printer, because 'generic postscript'
Seems like trying a pc98 disklabel is the cause.
After changing that to msdos using parted,
and then starting all over, installation worked.

problem with colors. The graphic on the button is just scrambled.

Confirmed on Dapper x86 (updated to 19-06-2006). After shutdown the
(kernel) message Power down appears, but nothing happens. It seems to
be related with a kernel module: When I enter the following command, my
computer DOES turn off:

Well, please note that I have now manually modified my
/etc/network/interfaces to make the settings stick (by adding a dns-
nameservers entry manually).
However, I will restore the file to the status it was originally after

The HP DeskJet 3320 is supported with HPLIP 0.9.7 which is included
with ubuntu. I have verified that it was included with the HPIJS 1.3
release (which was a long time ago).
Also keep in mind that HPLIP 0.9.7 is terribly old...*nudge*

it's configured in edit-preferences-audioscrobbler it then reports all
tracks you play to a website last.fm which generates statistics,
reccomendations and other things. Not reporting all tracks would be a
bug.
It was an external plug-in (rbscrobbler) at one point, maybe it's now
been added to rb
I installed 2.6.17-1 and 2.6.17-2 from edgy repositories. I reboot after each
installation : Whan I try to remove the 2.15-22, I still get the message :
