Knot 2:
First install attempt resulted in a purplish screen, so I rebooted and changed
from VGA to 1024x768 with 24 colors. That worked and I got to see the LiveCD.
Nice stuff.
After the reboot, I didn't get to the Grub screen, so I powered down,

I've tried, like said in bug 22931, to rmmod button and psmouse but it's not
working neither the touchpad neither the keyboard.
I've noticed that acpi doesn't come up right so I did (thanks to

Whatever udev may be showing is trumped by the fact that my stylus,
sound card and other USB devices did not work until I added the relevant
lines in /etc/modules. Given that it happened *immediately* after
updating from Breezy to Dapper, it seems reasonable to assume a change
in that upgrade
This probably requires loading the 'acerhk' module for your laptop. Can
you please include the DMI data as shown in the HotkeyResearch wiki page
and test whether:
sudo modprobe acerhk
makes any difference to whether you get keycodes?

I think Andreas once had a nice non-official gtk-apply checkmark that was

Strange that there is no icon for the education section, Vincent. Which
theme do you use? Would you like to install an a education app and check
if there's an icon in the GNOME application menu?
The other icon should be fixed with the next upload. We missed the
freeze of KNOT 3. So wait some days

@Sander: I don't think that so many users will select the select in the
progress dialog. Error or info Dialogs are different.
The problem is, that if the text label is the only part of the window
that can be selected, gtk will select the whole text. Seems to be a bug
in GTK.

Althought the qemu package (version 0.8.0-3ubuntu1_powerpc) includes the
qemu-system-ppc command for emulating PowerPC machines, it doesn't work
because of a few missing files.
First of all, it's missing a ROM image. The file
hum, i found an archive called .font.conf in my home, so i just erase it
and everything it's ok now, although now some truetype fonts are not
anti-aliased.

I am testing doko's 2.0.4 packages. At first I was dissappointed about
some missing localization (ku). Then I realized there is a bug in GNOME:
When I open OOo in XFCE, it is more localized than in GNOME! For
instance in writer's file menu the first two entries are localized
Well, neither net6 nor obby are built as of now. Not even a single build
log is available. Is this normal?
