running. If i was playing music it doesn't stop and i have to 'killall
beep-media-player' to get back the control of sound.

Also, a sidenote: after rebooting post xorg-reconfigure, the screen
began flashing a whole bunch and freakin' out. When I did CTRL+ALT+1 to
go to terminal, I lost full visibility because text was moving and going
crazy. When I would go back to GNOME, the whole screen was glitchy and
colorful.
Confirmed that renaming KONICA MINOLTA to Minolta works for another
victim.

I can confirm this bug (although only on a Debian machine now). However
the PNG file for the icon indeed has transparent background, so this has
something to do with the way scim uses the notification area. I
actually remember seeing similar things in KDE as well in dapper

With a bit of analysis between Fabio, Adam and I, we discovered that
lvm-common is installed and has /usr/share/initramfs-tools/hooks/lvm,
which includes:

Fabio points out that -a is a bashism. Yay team! Adam is testing a fix.
OK then, I'll leave it for MOTUs to decide, but in my humble opinion if
a package can be installed/used without said gvr-lessons then it's
better to leave it as recommended instead of making it a dependency,
which it isn't.

The bug is already reported in Debian, however it's almost 1 year old. I
sent an e-mail to the package maintainer asking if plans to upload a
newer version. If I don't get a reply or he states he's no longer
interested in maintaining festalon, I'll try to package it myself.

MaxTapTime is the biggest deal here.
This bug needs to stay open until gnome and kde have a control panel
module to configure this.

ok, I should have seen that this was another issue, and I know nothing
about it.. but it took me a couple of weeks to find the Option
MaxTapTime 0 way to turn off the dang touch pad.
It's just generally broken, and I was happy to actually stumble across
somebody saying similar stuff.
