Same thing here, my collection is nfs mounted under /mnt. Just posting a
note so you know it affects more than one person.
Thanks for the pointer to the hidden-root config. I've mv'd it out of
the way as I prefer to see all my files/directories.
Cheers,

Bug occurs on a Toshiba Satellite 2410.
However:
Bug does NOT occur with Kubuntu 6.10 RC install CD, so I guess it was already
resolved. Thanks!

Ok, I've been looking at this and I think I've worked out what is going
wrong. It is indeed in gnome-menus, and it's not passing on the
notifications from gnome-vfs that the .desktop files have been
created/changed/etc. I'll post a patch shortly. This will also close
five or six other duplicate
Ok, here is the patch. This seems to make everything work as it should.

Editing the menu doesn't update
This may be a fix.
A new GPL'ed OSX application called smcFanControl allows a user to
control the minimum fan speed on Intel MacBooks through a simple
interface. It appears that this minimum fan speed setting carries over
into Edgy without issue on a multi-boot system, but more testing is
needed.

I tried to import and got the same error I always do. It showed could
not link pipeline elements. I then got the fatal error. I just updated
tonight to the latest version. I also have the error log from it but do
not see an area to submit this yet.
** Affects: banshee
