OK, I'm having similar issues here, but I can't tell if it's exactly the
same bug. Azureus (2.5.0.0 on Ubuntu Feisty) worked for a bit after the
install, then (I suppose it was force-closed by a log-out) it stopped

Yesterday I dloaded both live and alternate 0117 builds for X64 and
tested them first in VMware.
The live x64 CD (after doing the debconf thing) hangs during

I would say that 2.6.20 has newer toshiba_acpi (http://memebeam.org
/free-software/toshiba_acpi/).
This patch would result in downgrading driver. It would work, but it
would be older driver.

I agree (sort of). I upgraded to feisty herd2 (which uses the 2.6.20
kernel) the other day and I no longer get the IRQ problems. The
wireless works as it did for me with the old kernel when I used the nv
driver instead of nvidia. I don't notice any difference regarding my
proximity to the access
