Alexander--Before I opened Firefox 1.5.0.9 on my desktop in safe mode, I uninstalled MediaPlayerConnectivity from the extensions dialog. This solved the problem, for I was then able to attach, send, and receive jpg attachments. I also ran Firefox in safe-mode and got the same good result.
