During an update to network manager approx 5 days ago it killed
ndiswrapper networking. The only way to get networking to restart is by
issueing the command sudo /etc/init.d/networking restart after
every shutdown. Many on the
Iptables gives firewall rules to the kernel, but it doesn't make the
rules. If you have firewall rules (that you didn't make by hand), you
have another firewall package creating them, and the bug needs to be
filed on that package.

I have been able to fix this java bug in feisty by upgrading new
j2re1.4 (1.4.2.02-1ubuntu3). Once the upgrade is done the java applet
works fine (I guess that gnomefreak had this package so his feisty's
didn't crash.
So let's keep this bug for EDGY only ;)

I can imagine that the LCD panel itself (or its controller (or a even
the graphics card)) reduces the color depth which is usually not that
visible but becomes more prominent with dim colors. Therefore, Duncan
Lithgow might even consider the screenshot to be ugly when displayed on
his LCD.

The logout button is there because of Fitts' law. The screen corners are
easiest to hit because they have infinite height and depth (you can't go
off the screen). Having something else take over the actual corner
destroys the whole point of having the button there.

OK, I'm a bit surprised at what might have happened. Here's another log.
Basically, I ran it the way I usually do, it crashed on this one MP3 the
way it usually does, and I took the dump. If it isn't in this dump, I
don't know what to tell you. When Rhythmbox uses GStreamer, it doesn't
spawn it as

I think its java5 causing this crash. on feisty i use java6-plugin and
it does not crash at all. using java5 on edgy it crashes. Hilario can
you please install sun-java6-plugin and set it to default in update-
alternatives and see if it crashes on feisty for you than?

yes. I updated to the latest feisty packages last night and tried

team and he feels ok with backported java6 so im going to build it and
play with it a bit on edgy and see what happens from there. Changed to

I was also notified on startup of a mono crash (that must have happened
on the previous shutdown). The only thing I did differently from my
normal routine before I shut down was to close, then re-open my laptop
lid (which I don't normally do because my wireless card never restarts).

After 3 days of not quitting the mouse buttons quit twice in 1 day. here are
the results this time .
first sudo cat /dev/input/mouse0 did not restore the buttons this time must
have been a fluke .
with 4 terminals open and a different cat in each.

I also get the message when I log in remotely through nx:
