It appears that this bug vanishes if qemu-0.9.0 is used. In light of

By the way, NetworkManager and the Kill switch work perfectly for me
with Ubuntu 7.04, aside from the fact the the Kill switch LED doesn't
come on whenever the Kill switch is disabled (e.g. the WIFI signal is
ON).

switch button LED:

The command "sudo ifup ra0" produces a message that says
something like "device ra0 already configured", and the card

I didn't even have wine associated with .exe files in the first place.
I had to manually add it.
Interestingly, griffin (a movie catalog program) was associated with it.
Perhaps something more sinister is going on?

NM works perfectly with:
Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection (rev 02)
Connections fail when the signal is weaker than about 40%. As long as it's

I am experiencing lockups that appear to be heat related.

have the bcm4318 myself. this is a problem with the current kernel
driver, it apparently has "major power issues". for this particular
hardware you will need to use ndiswrapper for the moment.
workaround:
add "blacklist bcm43xx" to /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist
add "alias eth1 ndiswapper" and "alias
Same bug with AMD64 and an nvidia GeForce 8800GTX, nvidia nForce4
motherboard, Dell BIOS revision 1.4.0 (the latest). The vga=xxx
workaround works for me, too. Thanks.
